Only one post

It is 31st January and this is my second post this year. What a shame! I feel guilty for not trying to motivate  myself to do some posting.

Hope that 2016  will be more creative as my New Year's resolution is to enjoy life more.

Happy New Year!

ART JOURNALING - Home, Dom, Srce, Heart and 2015

About six months ago while visiting Serbia, I came across lovely journalling tutorials on YouTube. I was amazed. I just wanted to try it.

Since then I have been collecting material and courage.
Finally, today, I did a page.

WARNING: I AM NOT AN ARTIST

My first page is about my home town Nis, in Serbia.  Simply a sketch of the Nis Fortress in pencil and pens lead to cutting out the image and gluing it on the page with the clear shine glue medium.

The next step that should have been the first actually was to cover the page with white gesso.
Once the page dried I played with  gel sticks from Faber Castell (mostly white and black) and Black Soot Distress ink from Tim  Holtz. I also edged the page with a tin black marker and smudged some silver metallic paste against the edges.

In  the end, using black and white markers, I wrote those 4 magic words  and  sprinkled some white acrylic paint over the page.

The final result is the  picture which has  that winter sky grey feeling.

The feeling of achievement is lovely especially, after I have touched the page. It feels like touching a canvas.
And on the final thought, I do hope that 2015 will bring lots of new and lovely things.

Hobby Art Vintage Stamps

Hobby Art Vintage stamps have caught my imagination recently.

With good quality and versatility, these stamps with a little imagination can make you go far.

These are the results that I have achieved with them and they are very very beautiful.

The card for Steve

Weather it is due to laziness or  lack of mojo, but I haven't written and posted on my blog  for good 4 months.  Shame on me!!! None of the previously mentioned is not a good excuse not to be active.

During that time I made some very lovely cards which I will post later, but  to start with is to start with the best I have made in long long time, and it is the card for Steve.
I was asked to make a card for him, but  honestly, they should not have asked me as I was to make one anyway.

Steve is a gentleman who was very closely working with us, with the whole team and he was one of those particular parts of the chain that team couldn't work without.
So, Steve did deserve the card for himself to be special, but not pathetic like:'Oh, I am so sorry you are leaving'. It was card that reflected Steve the person, a gentleman who likes to work.

I used Debbi Moore products for this card and I am very happy that it came so beautiful.

Angelica and Adam are there and they have taken the crafting world by storm. It has been easy to play with the whole range.

The following cards are just a hint of what can you do with the whole range whether it is the CDs, papers, embossing folders or stamps.

All the card images presented here are stamped with acrylic stamps from Angelica and Adam range coloured with Spectrum Noir alcohol pens and mounted on original papers from the range itself.

The cards are made with Crafter's Companion products apart from message stamps and few embellishments.
