X-mas Diva

Christmas Divas - Debbi Moore  is one of my most favourite CD ever. I just love the overall art on it and the way it was one.
The card was easy to make after having printed a backing paper and the image from the CD itself. It took me 15 minutes to make this lovely X-mas card.

Black, Red and Grey

I love this card as it is done in in more or less three colour variations : black, red and grey.
To make it I used LOTV stamp that I stamped on a super smooth card with my alcohol pens. I even coloured the background paper which I embossed and mounted all on black Core'dinations. To spice up I added the sentiment from one of Makey Backey's Chrostmas stam sets.

Not bad at all ;-)

Tool and Materials used:

LOTV image
Spectrum Noir acohol pens ( all ice greys and black, reds: DR3 and DR5)
All Purpose Collall glue
Die'sire Embossalicious X-mas Folder : Mistletoe
Makey Backey X-mas message stamp from one of the stamps
Neenah Solar White card
Some pearls and a snowflake
Core'dinations Card -black

A coffee table decoration

I love the new embossing boards from Crafter's Companion. They are what they are name says  SWEET TREATS.
On one of them I say a triangular shape which made me think :-) and while I was thinking, an idea just came and developed into this small and lovely Christmas decoration :-)

This little project can be used in many different ways. You can hang in on your Christmas tree, use it as a little gift box or just simply intend it for a coffee table. ..

My 2013 Christmas Cards

I am late with Christmas cards this year. Lots of different things distracted me from my favourite hobby: if I wasn’t moving house, cleaning and working, then it was just that I was just too tired to make myself make something and then recording it.
So, this is the chance to show everything that I have made in last few days. The basic material is all the same and mostly from Crafter’s Companion with the few exceptions : Debbi Moore, Tattered Lace, Lili of the Valley and DO crafts basic card blanks. All small embellishments come from different little sources.

The frist set of cards is from Crafter's Companion:
  • SWALK stamps,
  • Makey Bakey Christmas stamps

The second set of cards is from Lili of the Valley

It was fun using these in conjunction with Spectrum Noir pens and Crafter's Companion embossing folders. Love the final results.

The third set is Debbi Moore's Christmas Divas CD.

I just love these and could not resist to have a go. The final result is gorgeous and these easel cards just stand different.

This green is my favourite one.

And, the last fourth set was made with the Tattred Lace Christmas dies.
I also used Crafter's Companion embossing folders and Xmas stams from the same company.

For Men in Our Lives

Sometimes it is difficult to run away from the usual  images for men in our lives: fishing, football, snoring on a couch, and of that sort when we are trying to make cards for them.

Debbi Moore' s Shabby Chic Mechanical CD came as a perfect rescue to me as I made a 3D birthday card for my husband's birthday.

It was just click and print and assemble into a beautiful card. My husband was overjoyed this morning when he found it on his PC.

The materials and tools that I used for this project are the following:
  • Shabby Chic Mechanical CD - Debbi Moore
  • Neenah Solar White Card - Crafter's Companion
  • Collall glue
  • Construction Acetate - Crafter's Companion
  • Epiphany Tool - Crafter's Companion

The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady CD collection from Crafter's Companion

It's been some time that I have been longing to have The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady paper crafting CDs form Joanna Sheen as they would complement perfectly her Favourite Flowers stamp collections.Knowing that Joanna is not doing the CD collection any more, my disappointment grew as I was aware that I had missed the opportunity.

And then, to my massive surprise, Crafter’s Companion announced The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady paper crafting CDs.

They are so rich in content that you can play and use them either as ready made kits or resource to play with unlocking your creativity.
The result can be seen in this card where I used the CDs as resource only. I created the card with using only backing papers only.

Tools used:
·         The Country diary of an Edwardian Lady, Crafter’s Companion
·         Neenah Solar white card, Crafter’s Companion
·         Epiphany tool, Crafter’s Companion
·         All sorts of Collall glue, Crafter’s Companion
·         Distressing inks, Tim Holtz

The Scent of Summer

The scent of summer has come with the new Crisalis Classic collection from Crafter' s Companion kitchen. Everything is beautiful and gorgeous,  and  it is difficult to choose one part of the collection. My favourites are the three stamps - three young ladies  that remind me of free spirit:
  •  Perfect Day
  • A Morning Stroll
  •  The Scent of Summer

My journey with  those beautiful stamps  started with  'The Scent of Summer' which I coloured with Spectrum Noir alcohol pens on Neenah super smooth card, embellished with few bits and pieces and a stamped message.

Angelica's Friends, Geishas,and Calendars,.....

After a busy week and Saturday, Sunday lunch and other things to do,  I finally grabbed a moment to play. There was a bit of everything, new stamps and CD from Crafter's Companion - Angelica and friends , and a lovely Geisha stamp from Lili of the Valley.

The results are lovely which can be seen in the following photos:

A card companion printed on Neenah super smooth card, cut out and attached with various Collall glues is used for the first card.

The second card has an image from the latest Angelica and Friends range stamped and coloured with Spectrum Noir pens from Crafter's Companion. And, again, all attcached with various Collall glues.

In the end, I made two calendars for myself with some leftovers from the Construction acetate from Crafter's Companion and A geisha stamp from Lili of the Valley. The image was coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.

Not bad for a rainy Sunday afternoon.

I am still making calendars for 2013...

It is funny, but I am still making calendars for 2013. The reason why is that they are a little hit with my colleagues. I made some few weeks ago and gave them to some of my colleagues. They turned out into a real hit so I made few more.

This one is a part of the set I made for my young colleague. The whole set consists of a gift box, postie and a calendar. And believe me, she loved the whole set.

Materials and Tools used for these are the following:
  • Cho with Parasol - stamp from Lili of the  Valley,
  • Papers from Boofle collection from DO Crafts,
  • Centura Pearlwhite Card from Crafter's Companion,
  • Collall glues of all sorts from Crafter's Companion
  • Spectrum Noir alcohol pens from Crafter's Companion, and
  • Ultimate Pro from Crafter's Companion

Though it's snowing I can smell Spring in the air...

It's been snowing the whole afternoon and evening here in Cambridge to my joy as winter is one of my favourite seasons.  Always bringing  the most positive in me, it reminds me of my childhood back home in Serbia.
It makes me feel creative, positive and productive which resulted in lots of crafting today.
I  spent the whole afternoon creating some new Toread cards - lots of stamping, and colouring with Spectrum Noirs.
There was a hot cup of coffee as well. You just cannot spend such a lovely afternoon without some coffee and glancing out of window to enjoy snowflakes.
Tools & Materials used:
  • Toreads stamps from Crafter's Companion
  • Spectrum Noir pens from Crafter's Companions
  • Various embellishments and random papers
  • Collall glues from Crafter's Companion
